NIZWA: The Ministry of Transport, Communications and Information Technology continues its implementation of the Izki–Nizwa dual carriageway project in Al Dakhiliyah Governorate, with the completion rate currently standing at approximately 31 per cent.

The project is part of the ministry's ongoing efforts to develop the road network and enhance connectivity efficiency among the wilayats and governorates.

The project is being executed at a total cost of RO 47 million, spanning 30.4 kilometres.

It extends from the existing roundabout near South Qarut in the Wilayat of Izki, passing through Birkat Al Mouz and Hayy Al Turath, to the entrance of the Wilayat of Nizwa at the Farq area. The primary objective is to improve traffic flow and elevate safety standards on this vital road. - ONA
